HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MAKING ART?

Chris Arnold started painting, doodling and drawing as a young boy. As early as age 5, Chris was winning art contests for children and was becoming interested a variety of painting and drawing materials. By the time he got to high school in the 1990’s, he was exhibiting his art and working on commercial projects with firms like D’Arcy Advertising in St. Louis, Missouri. Chris then went on to complete his BFA and MFA in both art and illustration and continues his professional career today after nearly four decades of “Making Art.”


WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?

Chris Arnold completed his undergraduate education at the University of Missouri, Columbia (Mizzou) with a BFA in Studio Art (2002) with an emphasis in Drawing, Painting and Ceramic Sculpture. Additionally, Chris completed a graduate degree at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with an MFA in Illustration (2007). Note: Chris also attended the coveted Lacoste study abroad program and residency located in Provence, France (2006).


WHERE CAN I BUY/SEE YOUR WORK?

Chris Arnold’s art can be purchased directly from this website and/or out of his studios when work is available. Studio visits and onsite consultations are done by appointment only and can be done in person or virtually. Chris also participates in solo exhibitions, murals, pop-up galleries, charity events and studio shows. SEE EXHIBITIONS


HOW CAN I COMMISSION A WORK?

Please contact Chris Arnold Art to inquire about commissions. Chris accepts commissions on projects that interest him and work with his current studio schedule. SEE COMMISSIONS


DO YOU GIVE PRESENTATIONS OR LECTURES?

Chris Arnold does do presentations, lectures, workshops, consulting and master classes. Chris accepts presenter projects that interest him and that can work with his current studio and academic schedule.


WHERE DO YOU TEACH?

Chris Arnold has been teaching in higher education since 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor of Illustration [with Tenure] and the Drawing Coordinator at Columbia College Chicago. Chris has also served the following academic communities: The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), The Illinois Institute of Art (ILIA), Interlochen Arts Academy, Lacoste School of Art, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Youth Technology and Education Center (YTEC).
